Meet Erik Powery

A builder. A believer in our city’s potential.

Erik Powery is running for Mayor of Baltimore to bring integrity, opportunity, and innovation back to City Hall. Erik was born in the Bronx. But when he moved down here in 2010, he felt the rich history of Charm City and was adopted by Baltimore as

one of Their very own. Erik understands both the challenges our neighborhoods face and the incredible potential that lies within our people.

With a professional background in sales, entrepreneurship, and property management, Erik has built a career focused on leadership, service, and community development. He has spent years mentoring young people, supporting small businesses, and working to empower residents through hands-on initiatives and real-world opportunities.

Erik’s vision for Baltimore is simple but powerful: a city that works—for everyone.

He’s running to unite Baltimore under a bold plan he calls “One Baltimore”—a movement focused on creating jobs, investing in youth, reducing crime through community leadership, and restoring trust in government.

Erik’s Priorities

Empowering Youth: Launch a Youth Administration with real leadership roles for young people, such as a Youth Mayor and Youth Director of Public Safety, giving them a voice in shaping Baltimore’s future.
Safe Streets & Strong Communities: Focus on prevention, mentorship, and opportunity to reduce violence and strengthen neighborhoods.
Economic Growth: Expand vocational education and local business development to create sustainable careers and rebuild Baltimore’s middle class.
Better Transit & Infrastructure: Fix sidewalks, improve public transportation, and expand bike lanes to connect communities and make Baltimore more accessible.
Transparency & Accountability: Manage the city’s finances as “the people’s treasury,” ensuring honesty, fairness, and responsible leadership.

Erik Powery believes that real change comes from listening, collaborating, and working together. His campaign is about giving every Baltimorean a seat at the table and a stake in the city’s success.
